Who we are
PuzzleNest ("we") runs this website. Questions about privacy: contanahid@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Accounts (optional). If you create an account we store your name, email address and a scrambled (hashed) version of your password. We never store your password itself.
- Online play. When you play online, as a guest or with an account, we store the nickname you choose, your scores and match results. Guest progress is linked to a random ID saved in your browser.
- Teacher features. Puzzles teachers save, and the names and times students choose to send from a shared link.
- On your device. Your daily streak, drafts and settings are kept in your browser's local storage and never leave your device.
We do not have chat or private messaging, and we never sell your personal information.
Cookies
We use one cookie to keep you logged in. Our advertising partner, Google, also uses cookies, as described below.
Visitor statistics
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages and games are popular, and which devices and countries visitors use. This helps us improve the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed and a general location (country or city), not your name or email. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent first. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. We don't use analytics on pages students open from a teacher's link or in live class games.
Advertising
We show ads from Google AdSense to keep PuzzleNest free. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalized ads in Google Ad Settings, and learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.
We do not show ads on pages students open from a teacher's link or in live class games.
Children
PuzzleNest is designed for everyone, including students. Children under 13 should play as a guest or through a teacher's link, and should not create an account without a parent's or teacher's permission. If you think a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
- Play as a guest without giving any personal details.
- Clear your browser storage to remove guest progress from this device.
- Ask us to see or delete your account data at the email above.
